Steve Asbaty

Steve has a unique background in building successful businesses with his compelling organizational, operational, and business development expertise. Steve has founded technology and consumer products companies, and he has developed a special expertise in building strong online brands. Steve served as senior vice president, Internet for Limited Brands Direct, a $2 billion unit of Limited Brands, where he led the successful effort to define and  launch the online brand of Bath and Body Works, Bath and Body Works Direct. Steve’s background includes an impressive thirteen-year run at Fedex where he held several senior roles and was responsible for hundreds of millions in annual revenue and the success of FedEx Ground's largest single-location eCommerce and Catalog client. Steve earned a B.F.A. from Florida Atlantic University.

Doug Levin

Doug is an expert on technology start-ups and emerging company formation, and was awarded CEO of the Year in 2007 by the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council.
He is the founder, member of the Board of Directors and former chief executive officer (CEO) of Black Duck Software, serving in these roles since December 2002. Previously, Doug was CEO of MessageMachines (acquired by NMS Communications in 2002) and X-Collaboration Software Corporation (acquired by Progress Software in 2000), two VC-backed companies based in Boston. In addition, Doug worked for Microsoft Corporation for eight years in executive roles and prior to that served on the Macintosh development team at Apple Computer. Doug has an advanced degree in International Economic from the College d’Europe in Bruges, Belgium and a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Ruben Pinchanski

Ruben is a recognized pioneer in eCommerce and cross-channel strategies. He has founded and led technology and services companies and served as executive vice president of Limited Brands Direct, a $2 billion unit of Limited Brands. Ruben co-founded Digitas (NSD: DTAS) and helped grow it to one of the world's largest marketing services organizations and most successful digital and direct marketing companies. At Digitas, Ruben served as chief interactive architect and head of the eTail practice, where he developed eCommerce solutions for many top retailers and cataloguers, and as president of Digitas South he led the strategic development of new business in the U.S, Latin America, and Europe. Prior to Digitas, Ruben was a key member of the Harvard Business School Publishing Team and a technical manager at Apple Computer. Ruben holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, in Information Technology from University of Texas at Austin.

Sim Simeonov

Simeon (Sim) Simeonov is the founder of FastIgnite where he helps entrepreneurs shape promising ideas, raise capital, build teams and execute. Sim is also co-founder and interim CTO of San Francisco-based Plinky and a technology advisor at Polaris Venture Partners in Boston. Sim blogs at blog.simeonov.com and lives in the Greater Boston area with his wife, son and an adopted dog named Tye.

Prior to starting FastIgnite, Sim spent seven years as technology partner at Polaris where he made investments in the enterprise, online and mobile sectors and helped start four companies that Polaris invested in. Prior to joining Polaris, Sim was vice president of emerging technologies and chief architect at Macromedia (now Adobe). Earlier, Sim was a founding member and chief architect at Allaire, one of the first large Internet platform companies. Sim’s expertise covers the gamut from strategy definition and positioning to R&D execution to go-to-market and alliances development. He has played a key role in more than twenty v1.0s and M&A and spinout transactions. Sim’s innovation and leadership have brought about category-defining products with significant market impact: the first Web application server (ColdFusion), a pre-cursor to Web services and AJAX (WDDX), the best open-source Web services engine (Apache Axis) and the first rich Internet application platform (Flash/Flex). Sim’s past investments include 8th Ring (a company he co-founded), Allurent, Archivas (a company he helped create which was sold to Hitachi Data Systems), Meridio (sold to Autonomy) and Veracode (a company he helped create). He serves on the board of directors of the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (MITX), the largest technology non-profit in New England, and on the advisory board of the Nantucket Conference
